Sarah, Erica, and the WyalusingRams are off to a good start

Sarah is out?  No, but the pink helmet with the green uniform was a no-no according to the umpire who immediately threw her out of the game.  They are very strict in PA..

WVHS Softball: Lady Rams Fall to Athens, Troy - by Pete Hardenstine - 4/24/2008

After starting the season 8-0, including a 3-0 mark in the Northern Tier League East, the Lady Rams managed just six hits in two games, both losses.

On April 18, Wyalusing Valley lost to Troy, 3-1, in a key game that would have given the Lady Rams a two-game lead over the defending league champs.

Athens then shocked Wyalusing at home on April 21 with a 4-2 win, dropping the Lady Rams to 8-2, overall, and 3-2 in the league, one game back of Troy in the loss column.

Wyalusing traveled to Towanda last night.

(Wyalusing beat Towanda the next night 20-1 or something like that - don't get the Rams mad!!)

I read a couple other articles - thanks Mr. Darling - and I see lots of good things written about Erica, Sarah and Chelsea Dimon - who got the better of Wyalusing - one of their two losses was to Chelsea and her Athens Team as noted above.  Great Job Ladies!

Brooke in the paper

Freshman pitcher Brooke Darling is making her mark on the mound, and so far it has been mostly Ks. When the team took its spring training trip to Florida, Darling pitched four games and went 2-2 with 43 strikeouts. In four Lacka-wanna League games, her record is just 1-3, but she has 41 strikeouts. In 53 innings, Darling has yielded just four earned runs for a sparkling 0.53 ERA.

Taken from the Scranton Times-Tribune

Brooke is up to 143 k's in 87 inn with only 27 walks and a 0.40 era as her team has improved to an 8-6 record.  Great job Brooke!
